Actions in August…

* We’ve decided to start posting up our list of planned actions that we send out to our email list and put on our MySpace page on here now, so look out for more installments in the coming months and posts about new campaigns as well *

Hi,

Thanks to everyone who came out the latest meeting, here are the upcoming actions. Please get involved!

Wednesday 12th August, Bohemian Cafe, Chesterfield Road, 19:00 – We’re having our next social at the Bohemian Cafe. If you want to come along get in touch! As we have to book seats and it’s not a big place.

Saturday 15th August, Fargate, Sheffield City Centre, 11:00-16:00 – We’re doing a special stall next week, focusing on endangered marine species.

Sunday 16th August, Lowedges Festival, 12:00, Greenhill Park, Sheffield – We’ll be doing a bric-a-brac/info stall at this festival. If you have any contributions or can come and help, get in touch.

Saturday 22nd August, Owlerton Greyhound Stadium, Sheffield, 19:30 – An ongoing campaign against this disgusting industry. Please come down to help us to continue to change minds about greyhound racing and to send a clear message to the industry that we are here to stay. We have just heard that a dog was horribly injured at a recent race at Owlerton, and subsequently died. A press release will follow soon, which we will endeavour to tell everyone we can about. Trams are frequent and the stadium is a few minutes walk from the Hillsborough stop.

Friday 28th – Monday 31st August, near Northampton – This year’s UK Animal Rights Gathering is happening closer to home. It’s a very valuable way of networking, being inspired, learning, and having a good time with fellow activists. Pickups are available in Northampton.
