Monday 6th September – SAF Monthly Meeting – As always upstairs at the Fat Cat pub, 23 Alma Street (www.thefatcat.co.uk) from 6.30pm – 8pm, vegan food is always available on the menu if you want your tea there!

Thursday 9th September – Vegan Social Meal – We’ll be getting together to enjoy some lovely vegan nosh at a new South Indian/Sri Lankan restaurant Dhanistha, 74 Abbeydale Road from 7.30pm (it should be like East & West but with a bigger menu and more seating). Please get in touch if you’d like to go as we may need to book in advance.

Saturday 18th September – Save The Hunting Ban! Campaign stall on Fargate from 11am- 3pm.

Sunday 19th September – Demo at Highgate Farm (animal breeders for vivisection)

Saturday 2nd October – National March for Farmed Animals in London

Saturday 16th October – What’s Still Wrong With McDonalds – Demoing and leafleting outside a Sheffield city centre branch for the 26th International Day of Action Against McDonalds, to mark World Food Day.

Sat 30th October – Is Factory Farming Making You Sick? event in conjunction with Animal Aid

November

Saturday 6th November – Animal Aid’s Northern Compassionate Christmas Fayre! – Every year Animal Aid hold an awesome fair in London near Xmas so ethical businesses can ply their wares to compassionate consumers and campaign groups can raise awareness about their work. This year however there is also going to be a northern fair, in none other than our fine city!! It will be held at Victoria Hall Methodist Church, Norfolk Street, Sheffield, S1 2JB, 11am-4pm, FREE ENTRY (Voluntary donations welcome). Ethical traders, speakers, vegan food and information. Saturday 4th December – Sheffield Free Vegan Food Fair! – We held a very successful free vegan food fair last year (see here for a report) and we are set to hold another one, which will hopefiully be even bigger and better than before! We’ll need lot’s of help so please get in touch if you’d like to get involved. It will at the Quaker Meeting House, 10 St. James Street, Sheffield S1 2EW, 11am – 4pm, FREE ENTRY (Voluntary donations welcome)..
